LDAAT Partnership (who we are)

The Lancashire Drug and Alcohol Action Team (LDAAT) is the partnership responsible for delivering the National Drug Strategy in Lancashire on behalf of the Government.

We are proud of our reputation as one of the most effective and innovative Drug and Alcohol Action Teams in the country.

Ours is a partnership of public, private and voluntary sector agencies with the goal of working together to reduce the harm substance misuse brings to the community.

With a wide ranging membership including the police and probation services, local authorities, prisons and health authorities and voluntary organisations, LDAAT steers the activities of these many different agencies towards this one common goal.

The LDAAT partnership is responsible for:

  • Commissioning services and intervention programmes
  • Monitoring performance against national targets
  • Promoting awareness of available help and advice
  • Keeping stakeholders engaged and fully informed

What we do:

The outcomes outlined above are achieved through the planning, design, commissioning and performance management of drug and alcohol treatment systems across Lancashire. This involves LDAAT in the deployment of partnership budgets allocated from Central Government as well as co-ordinating additional financial resources within other health and crime reduction budgets.

Our providers in turn are the organisations responsible for the front line delivery of these services to the client base, the service users and their families.

Our mission:

Working in partnership to reduce substance misuse and make Lancashire a healthier and safer place.
