Getting Involved

LDAAT Executive Board Meetings

The LDAAT Executive Board meetings are designed to oversee the delivery of the national Drug Strategy in Lancashire.

With members drawn from Primary Care Trusts, Police, Prisons, Probation, Lancashire County Council and Social Care, these meetings ensure that our goal – to break the cycle of substance misuse across the county – is a shared vision for a partnership working together in a shared direction.

You can attend LDAAT Executive Board Meetings

Decisions are made at the LDAAT Executive Board meetings that have a direct impact upon how we tackle substance misuse throughout the county.

The initiatives we develop and the actions we take are in response to the needs of the community.

We are committed to making these decisions in an open and transparent manner.

You can attend these meetings. Whilst the specific agendas for these meetings are designed by the LDAAT, you will have the opportunity, should you decide to attend, to raise questions which will be addressed by those responsible for developing and implementing policy.

Where and when are these meetings held?

The meetings are held every 2 months. The dates and venues for the next 2009 LDAAT Executive Board meetings are as follows;

28th October 2009
2.00pm – 4.00pm Red Rose Hub, Preston, Pendle Hill Room

The Lancashire User Forum

This gives service users a voice so they can express their views about their own experience of the treatment system and make suggestions about ways in which improvements can be made.

The LUF is directly involved in helping to create a county wide model of service user involvement in the development, specification and commissioning of new services.

Through the LUF, service users directly help shape and develop substance misuse services in Lancashire.

The LUF is also closely involved in other county wide campaigns designed to tackle substance misuse.

Would you like to get involved?

If you have been a service user, are thinking about engaging with services or are currently involved with services, you too can be a member of the LUF.

Meetings and discussion groups are held at the Gujarat Centre, Preston or alternatively various locations across Lancashire. Lunch is provided and assistance with travel through re-imbursed expenses can be arranged. The next LUF meetings dates are as follows;
